Do you have two internet cables, but neither is long enough to properly connect your device? With this Ibley RJ45 coupler, you can easily extend your existing LAN, UTP, or ethernet cable without having to buy a new long cable. The coupler has an RJ45 female port on both sides and is suitable for connecting two network cables to each other. Thanks to support for up to 10Gbps, a sturdy housing, gold-plated contacts, and plug & play usage, this is a practical solution for home, office, gaming, streaming, or a wired internet connection. The white color matches nicely with light-colored cables, walls, desks, or a tidy network setup.
Suitable for these devices and connections
This adapter/converter is suitable for the following devices or connections:
- RJ45 ethernet cables, LAN cables, UTP cables, and internet cables
- Network cables of Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and Cat7
- Routers, modems, switches, patch panels, PCs, laptops, smart TVs, consoles, and network equipment with an RJ45 connection
- Situations where you want to connect two short network cables into one longer connection
What do you use this adapter for?
You use this RJ45 coupler to connect two network cables directly to each other. This is useful when your internet cable is just a little too short for your desk, TV stand, game console, router, switch, or workstation. Instead of replacing an existing cable, you can continue to use your current cables with this ethernet extender. This way, you can quickly create a longer connection for wired internet, without installation, settings, or extra software.
Key advantages
- Extends your internet cable: connect two RJ45 cables together into one longer connection.
- Supports up to 10Gbps: suitable for high-speed network connections when your cables and equipment also support this.
- Widely compatible: suitable for Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and Cat7 network cables.
- Plug & play: no drivers, power supply, or installation required.
- Neat white finish: convenient for light-colored cables, workstations, walls, or visible cable routes.
Plug & play usage
Usage is simple: plug one RJ45 internet cable into one side of the coupler and the second RJ45 internet cable into the other side. Once both cables click securely into place, the coupler forms one continuous network connection. There is no driver, app, power supply, or configuration needed. The final speed and stability do depend on your cable category, cable length, network equipment, connection, and internet subscription.
What should you pay attention to?
This product is intended as an RJ45 female-to-female coupler for network cables. It is not a modem, router, switch, or Wi-Fi booster and does not independently increase your internet speed. For the highest speeds, your cables, router, switch, network card, and other equipment must also support the desired speed. Preferably use good quality cables and avoid unnecessarily long or damaged cable paths, as this can affect stability and performance.
Network speed and cable category
The coupler supports modern ethernet connections up to 10Gbps, matching Cat6A applications. You can also use it with Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat7 cables, but the maximum speed is always determined by the weakest link in your network. For example, if you use an older cable, router, or network port, the actual speed may be lower than the maximum support of the coupler.
Stable wired connection
A wired connection is often more stable than Wi-Fi, especially for gaming, working from home, streaming, large downloads, or equipment that must remain online permanently. With this LAN coupler, you can cleverly extend existing cables without immediately replacing your entire cable setup. The white finish is also useful when looking for a subtle solution for a visible workstation, office space, or cable route along a light-colored wall.
