Do you want to connect your Wii to a modern TV, monitor, or projector without classic AV or RCA connections? This Ibley Wii to HDMI adapter converts the video and audio signal from your Wii to HDMI, so you can easily use the console on a screen with an HDMI input. The adapter supports HDMI output up to 1080p Full HD, making it a practical solution when you want to use your Wii again on a newer screen. Thanks to the plug & play design, you do not need any separate software, drivers, or complicated installation. The white adapter matches the Wii console well and is compact enough to be used neatly behind your screen or console.
Suitable for these devices and connections
This adapter/converter is suitable for the following devices or connections:
- Nintendo Wii consoles with Wii AV output
- Televisions, monitors, projectors, and beamers with an HDMI input
- HDMI cables for connecting the adapter to your screen
- Usage scenarios where you want to connect a Wii to a modern HDMI screen
What do you use this adapter for?
You use this Wii to HDMI adapter to connect a Wii console to a TV, monitor, or projector with an HDMI connection. This is useful when your screen no longer has old composite, AV, or RCA inputs, but you still want to use the Wii for games, sports titles, or family game nights. The adapter makes it possible to transmit image and sound via HDMI, so you need fewer loose cables and can connect the Wii more easily to modern equipment.

- Supports up to 1080p Full HD: suitable for use on modern TVs, monitors, and projectors.
- Plug & play: no separate software, app, or driver required for standard use.

Plug & play usage
Connect the adapter to the AV output of your Wii console. Then, connect an HDMI cable to the adapter and to the HDMI input of your TV, monitor, or projector. Next, select the correct HDMI source on your screen. Operation and image quality may depend on your Wii settings, HDMI cable, screen, resolution settings, and the game or application used.
What should you look out for?
This adapter is intended for the direction Wii to HDMI. You use it to connect a Wii console to an HDMI screen, not to convert an HDMI device to a Wii AV connection. An HDMI cable is not included. Also, check if your screen has a free HDMI input and if the Wii is correctly configured for video display. The adapter does not inherently improve the original image quality of the Wii but makes the signal suitable for use via HDMI.
Image and sound via HDMI
The adapter transmits image and sound via HDMI, so you do not need separate audio cables for normal use. This is especially convenient with modern televisions and monitors with built-in speakers. If you are using a monitor without speakers, you may need to manage the sound via your screen, audio output, or external speakers, depending on your setup.
Resolution and image quality
The adapter supports HDMI output up to 1080p Full HD. The final image quality remains dependent on the Wii console, the game, your display settings, the HDMI cable, and the connected screen. Because the Wii is an older console, the image on modern large screens may look different than with newer consoles or native HDMI devices.
